Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Ensure all payroll transactions are authorized and in compliance with company policies and procedures and Audit each payroll cycle prior to processing

·       Analyze data to create reports, presentations and make recommendations for human resources best practices

·       Assist with monitoring hours of part time employees for benefits eligibility compliance

·       Process all employee new hire, re-hires, internal transfers, and terminations

·       Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

·       Create and manage wage rate programs

·       Assist with employee file audits and maintenance in HRIS

·       Assist with processing unemployment compensation claims, coordinating claim documentation and data entry responses to state requests

·       Assist with processing and tracking requests for FMLA and LOAs

·       Other human resources projects and duties as needed

·       Process multi-company payroll using ADP Workforce Now for 400+ employees

·       Balance GL files each payroll and post to general ledger

·       Review and approve quarterly and yearly tax reports

·       Reconcile all payroll related balance sheet accounts monthly

·       Conduct proper allocation and transfers for payroll and post intercompany entries

·       Enthusiastically support, promote and demonstrate the company’s Core Values in all interactions

·       Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all payroll and human resources records and correspondence

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       Knowledge of state, local and federal employment laws

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite



·       High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other relevant degree preferred

·       Three to six (3–6) years of related Payroll experience

·       Previous experience working with ADP, Workforce Now strongly preferred

·       ADP Payroll Specialist Certification a plus
