Job Summary: Embrace, build and encourage Downtown Project’s company culture. Promote cultural alignment for all employees around the company’s mission and core values. Develop and facilitate new hire orientation, new hire onboarding program and employee recognition events to assist with attracting and retaining top talent and improving the overall employee experience. Set the example for the desired culture and behavior based on core values for the company through a creative, high-touch service approach with the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new hire orientation program and onboarding program for a diverse selection of employees based on company core values
  • Coordinate and facilitate orientation sessions and ensure content and process makes a quality first impression
  • Plan, organize, facilitate and order supplies for orientation, onboarding, trainings or other employee engagement events
  • Work directly with property level management team to develop Core Value awareness
  • Develop and maintain a company-wide communication platform to ensure employees are informed of property specific information and company events and initiatives
  • Work with both marketing team and community partners to gather information to distribute in a bi-weekly newsletter
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of orientations and onboarding initiatives and make adjustments as needed
  • Develop and conduct training and development sessions based on company and property needs
  • Work with management team to develop and maintain a new hire onboarding program at the property level
  • Assist with the administration and processing of new hire processing paperwork
  • Assist with overseeing the organization and accuracy of property personnel files and attendance tracking
  • Assist with the creation and execution of employee engagement surveys across properties and assist with the development of action plans to address areas for improvement
  • Manage and support employee recognition and team building programs as needed at the property level and across properties
  • Identify training needs and design training materials at the property level based on social media reviews and one on one meetings with the management team to improve service and social media awareness
  • Exemplify the desired culture and core values of the company in all interactions
  • Conduct informational Downtown tours for new hires and other guests to Downtown as needed
  • Assist with managing the social media accounts for Oak & Ivy, Big Ern’s and Downtown Terrace
  • Work with both Downtown Project owned and operated residences as well as partner properties (i.e. Juhl, Ogden) to collect information and distribute Downtown Living Newsletter amongst residents living Downtown
  • Work with Public Relations team to ensure all Downtown Project press mentions are shared with Downtown Project employees as well as shareholders – all press mentions should then be archived accordingly
  • Work with events team to gather all marketing collateral and distribute amongst management and or staff at venues
  • Assist with a variety of Marketing initiatives as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two to four (2 – 4) years of related experience
  • Previous experience developing, coordinating and leading company orientation and onboarding programs
