Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in the development of the venues event and marketing program which includes, but is not limited to new innovative ideas, event recommendations, marketing partnerships, promotional activities, advertising recommendations, social media and public relations coordination. The Marketing Coordinator will also execute the events and programs on-site when required. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator will find creative ways to increase customer spend, find new sources of business, and maintain the responsibility to oversee the venues, including the market position against competitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain relationships with key vendors
  • Be available to assist onsite with the organization and execution of special events including holidays such as: New Year’s Eve, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, Memorial Day Weekend, Life Is Beautiful, Super Bowl, etc.
  • Communicate events to the following areas: Executive Management, Operations, Public Relations, Promotions, Social Media, Sponsors, Internal Staff, etc.
  • Social media interaction and management - meeting all requirements set by the Digital Marketing Manager including tracking engagement per Social Media Team Member Responsibilities and social media growth report
  • Work in conjunction with the Sponsorship Team and Sponsors to leverage and maximize the company’s sponsorship capabilities
  • Help with market research including customer surveys, competitor research and market positioning
  • Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
  • Monitor online reputation for wholly-owned venues on Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google, Social Media
  • Update competitor and database growth reports using Excel
  • Serve as Marketing Liaison to the Container Park:
    • Create one event per month with assistance from the Marketing Team
    • Be present during Container Park events
    • Attend tenant meetings to help facilitate marketing deliverables
    • Spend a minimum of an hour a week at Container Park meeting with tenants to discuss future promotions

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Administer monthly marketing checklists for each DTP/DTLV property
  • Coordinate routine upkeep, maintenance and distribution of the Marketing Calendar(s)
  • Help facilitate all external marketing initiatives including distribution of collateral and presentation of assets
  • Management of graphic designers inclusive of timeline expectations, quality, production, print and all collateral/assets with follow-up as needed
  • Coordinate agendas for all marketing meetings, take notes, distribute recaps, follow up and track progress of assignments
  • Serve as Marketing liaison to PR company:
    • Tours, on site for filming and media requests
    • Delivery of assets and communication
  • Other duties as assigned 


  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information and to write for a variety of media and audiences
  • Ability to conform writing to prescribed style format
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Must be well organized and extremely detail oriented
  • Must be team oriented but able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi task in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Creativity and critical thinking skills a must
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently follow through to successful completion of projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle several projects with strong time management skills. 


  • BA/BS in Marketing, Public Relations or related field of study preferred
  • Two years experience in related field preferred
